Who We Are
Ashley C. Gautreau, Esq
As President of her class at the Detroit Mercy School of Law, Ashley interned for the University's Veterans Law Clinic and hasn't stopped volunteering since.
With over a 90% favorable record on hundreds of cases at the US Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, to say she is excellent is something of an understatement. She has won favorable decisions for veterans' cases that other law firms have thrown out.
Representing Veterans and fighting for the benefits they deserve is her passion. She wakes up everyday thankful she gets to be of service to our servicemen and women.
Ashley's credentials include the following:
Provides free legal services at the Veterans Pro Bono Consortium representing veterans before the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans’ Claims
Volunteers free legal support to the Detroit Mercy School of Law Veteran's Law Clinic
Admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims
Admitted to the State Bar of Michigan
In her free time Ashley likes to cook, drink different types of piping hot coffee, go for walks in all sorts of weather, and spend time with her husband & sons.
VA Accredited Attorney
Colleen Coogan, CPA
Colleen is all about the numbers.
She has been a book keeper her entire career and enjoys working for the firm, running the numbers, then crunching them just to be sure. She manages all the accounting, budgeting and expenditures so Ashley can focus on doing what she does best - winning court cases for Veterans.
In her free time Colleen enjoys gardening, biking with her husband and visiting her grand kids in Colorado and Michigan.
Ryan Clark, MBA
The resident tech geek and systems nerd, Ryan is our process guy. He splits his time between griping about the Department of Veterans Affairs, scheduling clients' on the calendar and looking for better ways to do things around the office.
In his free time Ryan enjoys hunting, fishing, working on cars and fixing things he deems broken or below-standard.
